Temple's Guardian

All my life I have been interested in nutrition and fitness. These have remained a passion of mine as I have gone through life learning various different talents and skills, on a professional level. I have memories, as a child, of going to exercise classes instructed by my mother. I participated in team sports in elementary school as part of the track and field program and played football and ran track in high school, as well. It was in high school when I took on a certain passion for nutrition and fitness. Another person who had a great influence on my passion was my Physical Education teacher and coach, Tommy Plaster at Bayshore High School in Bradenton, FL. After graduating high school, in 1996, I started as a laborer in construction as I had been working with my father and practically raised on a construction site. I swiftly worked my way up to journeyman level framing and trim carpenter. In 1999 I became certified through AFAA as a Personal Trainer. I went back to school and made it through one semester of college before I realized working construction in Florida, in the summer, had more rainy days than not, which made it difficult to pay for school and my first home. So, I decided to join the Navy where I gained an education and experience as a glorified elctronics technician with the ability to shoot missiles, as a Fire Controlman. Which has nothing to do with fighting fires. It's about solving the fire control solution. Like firing weapons. While I was on deployment in the Northern Arabian Gulf during Operation Enduring Freedom, I lost my Nana, my grandmother on my father's side to lung cancer. I received two Red Cross messages on that deployment. One for my Nana and another for the birth of my first born child. In 2004, I lost another dear family member to that dreaded disease. This time I lost one of the hardest working and most loving men in my life, my uncle Tom. Not too long after that, I lost my dad's brother and the most selfless man I have ever known, my uncle Steve. Neither of the cancers were hereditary, we were told. Actually, my uncle Steve had beat brain cancer and was in remission when he passed.

After being honorably discharged from the Navy I became an RVIA Certified RV Technician and excelled in that profession until 2008, when the economy crashed. At that point I decided to return to school, yet again, under the GI Bill and earned my degree in Information Technology. In 2012, I lost yet another very loving and close relative, my aunt Lynn. She was my uncle Tom's wife, my uncle Steve and my father's sister.  She was finally submitted to colon cancer and my passion for nutrition began to take control of my life. I attented Johnson & Wales University, in Denver Colorado, where I pursued my degree in Culinary Arts/Nutrition. Back in 2011-12, before attending JWU, I learned about liposomal encapsulated  vitamin C, made with soy lecithin. Knowing soy to be an anti-nutrient, I decided to make liposomal encapsulated vitamin c with sunflower lecithin. This was 2013. Come to find out, another Florida based company put the idea into production, before I could, in 2014. That was after I posted it on Facebook. Hmm... It was around that same time when I received the news that I had a feeling would be coming. I figured if my dad's mother, brother and sister all died from non hereditary forms of cancer, then there might have been some sort of commonality and the only way to prevent my father from catching that proverbial cold, was to change his diet. Well, needless to say, that never happened and he passed away shortly thereafter. Renal cancer. My father and his siblings were born and raised in Litchfield, IL. Mount Olive area. I've read and learned there was a certain amount of ground water contamination in that area. It's pretty dumbfounding how thousands upon thousands of people die from food  born illnesses, yet our country still keeps up the same greedy practices. It's way past time for change and it's also way past time to start thinking outside the box. If you think cancer can't be a food born illness, you're sadly mistaken. If you think drinking water can't do the same, you are also sadly mistaken. Organic whole foods and clean, natural spring water makes a difference. We need the minerals from that water, without the toxins from waste.

During my time at JWU, I became a certified kitchen safety manager with ServSafe and worked as a soux chef while still attending college. After gaining my degree and learning of my father's illness, I returned home to FL, and I have been continuing my studies in nutrition while working as a mechatronics technician, in a few different industries. I have since acquired my certification as Health Coach and and founded Temple's Guardian, in hopes to bring awareness and educate people on the truth about food and nutriton. This brings us to the present, where I am still fighting the good fight as a contractor and still studying and practicing holistic nutrition,  and advocating for health and humanity as the owner of Temple's Guardian.
